Here is an absolutely beautiful jam from LA based producer Geoffro.
The up and coming producer has had the opportunity to work with Kehlani on several occasions and has produced 3 singles for her to date. One of those singles is here new release, “Honey“, and to give fans a taste of his capabilities, he has just dropped an alternate version of the track. While they opted to lead with the acoustic version for Kehlani‘s release, this alternate version was produced prior and is now being shared via Geoffro‘s channel.
Beautiful guitar couples with Kehlani‘s vocals to create an emotional and stunning Pop/R&B tune. Throw in some wavy keys, rolling basslines and a bit of percussion and this track has all it needs. The overall vibe here is top notch. The minimal production lends itself to the vocals and while there may be no crazy production techniques going on, everything is perfectly placed and the mix is clean and dynamic from beginning to end.
Often times less is more, and that is exactly the case here. I am in love with this one.
