New Music & Tour Dates for NYC’s The Knocks

Over the weekend a new track from NYC DJ/production duo, The Knocks, landed in my inbox – and it has been boosting my mood ever since.  For over a decade B-Roc and Jpatt (The Knocks) have been keeping fans on their toes with their genre-bending releases, regular parties and energetic live sets. While topping charts from iTunes to Beatport and Billboard, The Knocks have continued to develop their sound, crossing major dance floor filling grooves with an undeniable commercial appeal.  Having released collaborations with artists like Kah-Lo, Whethan, Crystal Fighters, Foster the People, Sofi Tukker, NERVO, and Alisa Ueno, there is no question that The Knocks have become a go to production team and a secret weapon for artists far and wide.

Beyond topping charts and raking in tens of millions of streams, The Knocks have also had quite a bit of success landing major national sync placements for for brands like iPhone X and The US Open, in games like FIFA 2020 and in shows like Sherman’s Showcase.  From live appearances on Late Night with Seth Meyers, TRL and The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, The Knocks have been able to penetrate the mainstream with their undeniable vibes – whether or not you were paying attention.

Riding high from the massive success of 2018’s, “New York Narcotic”, and hot on the heels of several smashes dropped throughout the summer, The Knocks are back for more – this time enlisting GRAMMY-nominated R&B sensation Gallant for, “Exit Sign”.  The smooth, Nu Disco inspired jam features an unrelenting bassline, pumping synthetic string textures, muted keys and some funky vocal chops – creating a super chill, totally danceable groove  for Gallant to sway on.  Saucy melodies and an effortless delivery from Gallant carry the tune, keeping things laid back and letting the production handle the rest.

The massive collaboration is an absolute stunner, allowing both artists to shine in their own right and seeing them come together to create something totally timeless that I will without a doubt have in my stash for years to come.  On top of the new single, The Knocks have also announced a new tour in support of melodic Electronic mastermind Gryffin.  Check their website and socials for dates, and if you get the chance – I suggest you go catch them live.
