Described as a bicoastal song of woozy indie/pop perfection, Better Apart fuses the psychedelic west coast sound of California based Pink Skies and the ALT/Indie POP sound of the Atlantic coast, New York based Aaron Taos. Written and recorded over the pandemic lock down, the two artists collaborated over Zoom and together, created the appropriately named single Better Apart. Better Apart is a song that conveys the confusion of longing for a relationship that you know damn well you are better without.
Quirky melodies intertwine with the smoothly delivered vocals to create an Indie/POP bop of “Desire vs. Logic“. Even though, it’s clear to see that you are Better Apart, sometimes it’s hard to shut down the want! You can spend all day thinking about the reasons you shouldn’t be together but most of the time, you are more inclined to follow the feelings of gratification leading you together.
Humans are a species blessed with logic but cursed with emotion, and all-too-often, the former loses to the latter. However, Better Apart invokes all the right emotions with its west coast island vibe and hip east coast Alternative attitude. Pink Skies and Aaron Taos nailed their summer jam-collab, with this new single.
