The Collection gave my musical theatre heart a run for its money with their broken heart anthem "Love at The End of The World" a soft folk-pop ballad that is not only narratively engrossing but musically an adventure and I can't stop smiling when that chorus break hits.
North Carolina Indie pop band The Collection dropped their EP "How To Survive an Ending" literally in the midst of the Covid-Pandemic and I am so sad I didn't discover this at that time, their sound is pop euphoria combined with a sense of sad understanding and I live for that stuff.
"Love at The End of The World" is not only an extremely uplifting track, but it also hits that golden sun country heart sounds that we all need sometimes, the coffee in the afternoon track that not only boosts our energy but gives us a view of a hopeful future.
