I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again… Australia is one of my favorite markets for music right now. Adding to the countries come up is 17 year old Hip Hop prodigy Vic August.
Since recently signing with WVS, Vic released the lead single, “Buss It Down”, from his new project, “Glass House 2”, just about a month ago. The first taste of the new project is a moody and catchy af single that sees Vic delivering slick melodies and fresh rhythms over a hard hitting Trap beat.
Following the success of the first single, Vic August and team dropped the entire project, quickly finding support from Spotify and Apple Music while also landing at #8 on the iTunes Hip Hop chart. The 9 track project is a new wave smash with a heavy dose of autotune mixed with solid rhyme schemes and an overall vibe.
Being just 17, it is clear that Vic August has his finger on the pulse of what is happening in Hip Hop right now and he is coming out of the gate ready to compete. Each track, while brining its own flavor, finds a way to hit.
Other stand out tracks from the project that I have been knocking heavy are “Vice”, and “Sideways”, but trust when o say the entire project slaps. Do yourself a favor and check out the full project below. Keep an eye on Vic August.
