JAM OF THE WEEK: Sparrows – Hide & Seek

After a year of back to back singles, Sydney based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Sparrows (aka Jessica Nitties) is back hitting the ground running with new vibes for 2020. In her first single of the year, she offers us a new fun feel good record with “Hide and Seek”. The record is the result of a collaboration with Rob Amoruso and Gab Strum (Japanese Wallpaper) at an APRA songhub curated by Chris Walla (Death Cab for Cutie), which is out now.

The idea came about when the rising indie pop artist showed a video clip of a kid playing hide and seek, as well as one of her beats to Rob, all the inspiration needed to develop the concept. In “Hide and Seek”, Sparrows takes a light-hearted approach on love, no longer having to play the game of “Hide & Seek”.  The colorful synth elements pour smoothly over Sparrow’s textured vocals creating a smash for electro-pop fans. Needless to say, things are looking good for Sparrows. She recently announced that she has partnered with Sydney artist Fluir, kicking off their new record label Rola Door Records.
