Margaux Avril Sways on ‘Drifting’

Paris bred Electro Pop artist Margaux Avril, has been making waves in her hometown for sometime now.  First jumping onto the scene with a French Pop album, the up and coming vocalist has recently switched gears and it charging full steam ahead for the top tiers of the Pop world.

Having turned down several deals with labels, Margaux opted to maintain her freedom as an artist, leading to the release of, “Soon”, last year along with her latest offering, “Drifting”.  The new single sees Margaux deliver a dreamy and sensual performance atop a soulful Electronic production.

With a perfect blend of acoustic and electronic elements, the production is enchanting when it needs to be and energetic when it has to be.  Opening with soft keys and drums, the track transforms at the hook with then introduction of lush synthetic pads and an increased attitude from Margaux.

The dynamic tune allows Margaux the space to shine while also showcasing her songwriting abilities and soul touching tone.  An all around solid release from the bubbling Parisian.  About the tune she says, “It is about the relationship you have with yourself that influences the other relationships in your life : with the ones you love, with passing time. By drifting from yourself you drift from what surrounds you. The way we navigate through life’s obstacles, choices we make. It talks about melancholy, nostalgia, and learning. The flow of a life that prevails, in which we let ourselves go and against which we sometimes fight, memories that we keep preciously or we need to let go.
